日本一开始没有ports，所以船只会慢慢损坏。naval maintenance要高，船只的损坏速度才会降低。

hoard clipper convoys (set stockpile to 2000)。等到1837年upperhouse refresh，再通过reform improved weapons。

游戏一开始不要删除所有irregular，这会降低the rank of Japan，让你更难买到资源。

作为uncivalized nation，不要用太多的infamy，以11为上限。

Westernized

一旦westernized，把upper stratum的tax调最低，这可以提升他们的收入，satisfy their needs, raise their consciousness. 高consciousness会令他们支持自由的意识形态，方便政治改革。

在研究好科技nationalism and imperialism之前，infamy以22为上限。nationalism and imperialism允许一次性吞并小于等于4个州的国家。

1960s

Year 1970 starts the colonization race which requires roughly 1000 colonial points^[1]. 日本的沿海省份不多，所以naval base最好到3级^[2]。建造或升级naval base需要10年，所以1960年至少要有第二级naval base tech。

The First Reform

我玩的时候，有一个事件，好像是关于we are insulted，一个选项是对那个国家宣战，另一个选项是提升militancy。计算发现，如果我提升militancy，再switch ruling party，我就有机会pass reforms。应该选择哪一个呢？

only landed

我心向自由，希望以后获得更多的reform chance。第一个reform——only landed，会把upperhouse members从每pop一人（一个pop，不管其大小，都选出一个成员进入upperhouse，跟）改为比例代表制^[3]。测试发现，如果militancy等于4，以现在的law，通过比例是48%，如果改为only landed，通过比例是46%，所以不适合改为only landed。

meetings allowed, censored press, state controlled

The meetings allowed law increases more Political awareness than the censored press law. The state controlled trade union law increases Social Reform Desire。Political awareness和Social Reform Desire的具体作用尚不清楚，但前者应该是增加political reform的通过机会，而后者增加social reform的通过机会。我想要更多的political reform，所以倾向the meetings allowed law。

harassment

The harassment political party increases ruling party support. Ruling party support是在national focus界面增加party loyalty的工具^[4]。日本没有选举，所以这个reform没用。

经过比较，我选择pass the meetings allowed law。

1870s

1970年开启colonial race。对日本来说，naval base必须要3级，所以在1860s就必须就要准备好了。

注意太平洋上的Hawaii islands有美国的核心。如果你不小心殖民了这些地方，你就不能跟美国当好朋友了。成为ally的按钮会提示你拥有美国的核心。
