- Suggest how you could help her in her room
- Say why you would like to do this work
- Explain when you will and will not be available
Red is good words.
Dear Mrs Barrett,
I cannot help but write to you when I saw your advertisement on Los Angeles Times. I firmly believe I am a good fit for your housekeeping position.
I started to do domestic chores since I was 8. I hand-wash my clothes and I am more than happy to wash yours. I can wipe your surfaces and mop your floor, also vacuum carpets if you have. What’s more, my mom taught me cooking; she is really a good cook by the way. After I immigrated to the States, I cook for myself every weekend. Exceling in Chinese food and learned American cuisine like steaks and omelettes, I will prepare meals for you if you dine at home.
I long for this job because I am a college student and my tuition is due in September. I have to earn the payment. Last quarter I worked at a Chevron gas station but it doesn’t have vacancy this summer.
As for my availability, I will be able to work 4 hours a day from Monday to Friday. On the account of my own schedule and the traffic, I can arrive at your place from 10am to 2pm depending on your need, which allows me to make either lunch or dinner for you.
I am looking forward to your reply.
Best regards,
Jason Cho
